Happy Spring
I'm sending you spring wishes from Chicago today even though it's snowing here. Hopefully you are
having better weather where you are!
On the Road
Thanks
to everyone who came out to visit me in Houston last month. The weather really cooperated, which was a relief after the big rain-out last October.
The Houston
Center for Contemporary Craft now has a selection of my work, so stop
on by anytime you need a great handmade gift. This month I'm heading to Chattanooga, TN for
the first time and then on to Birmingham, AL. Spread the word if you
know anyone in those areas; I have information about the shows on my
website. Hopefully spring weather will join me on this southern tour!
What's new
As some of you know, last year my big project was developing a book about my jewelry techniques with
Lark Books. The first week of April brought a welcome surprise -- my very own copy of the book! It's called "Elegant Wire Jewelry," and it's
currently
available for pre-order on Amazon. The books themselves will be available in June; I will keep you posted as to when I have more copies. I'm in the
midst of planning a book release party in Chicago and other book-related events later in the year at which I hope to see you!
Gallery News
So many new galleries are carrying my work -- check out the growing list on my website, which
includes locations in California and Missouri, which are new markets for my jewelry so pass along my info to anyone you know in those
areas.
On a personal note
My husband Dan and I, along with our two dogs Peeve and Iris, are moving out of our loft in downtown
Chicago to a quieter neighborhood on the North side called Lincoln Square. It's hard to be excited when all you see is boxes, but we are looking
forward to living on a tree-lined street and exploring all the neighborhood has to offer. If you know the area, please share your suggestions of
great restaurants to try!
