School's out for Summer

But JAHV is still open for business! With the traditional classes done for the year, the summer is set for gearing up for next year. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all who participated in the schools, at our events, and through program support.

While we're still calculating our final numbers, this year has had lots of successes thanks to our board of directors, our volunteers and supporters.

Education

June Spotlight - JA in a Days

May and June were busy months filled with a string of JA in a Days. Some companies were volunteering for the first time such as Quorum Federal Credit Union and Webster Bank. PepsiCo expanded their in-classroom volunteering to complete a whole school at a JA in a Day in Mt. Vernon. Other companies including MasterCard Worldwide, Best Buy and US Alliance Federal Credit Union continued their outstanding volunteer efforts in the schools.

Development

Our fiscal year ends June 30th but there's still time to raise money for JA programs. Help us reach our 2007-08 of supporting the 10,000 student in JA programs by donating to Junior Achievement. Even supporting one student for $30 makes a difference in helping that student realize their potential and reaching for their dreams!

Events

Westchester Golf
On May 6, JAHV held it's annual Golf Classic at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford. Other than a short rain shower, the day was perfect as the golfers
made their way around the spectacular course. At the end of the day, attendees enjoyed a world-class dinner buffet and silent auction.
