The Three Tomatoes are having ones of those scattered thought days (possibly exasperated by a little over-beveraging last night) so today's email includes a little bit of everything like blogs, spices, fashion crises and three other tomatoes you should know about.

What the Heck’s a Blog?
As you know, some of The Three Tomatoes and our friends have resolved to lose those extra pounds we piled on last year.  And because misery truly does love company, we have created The Three Tomatoes’ Blog, which is currently tracking our weekly progress, and thoughts along the way (like do “sink-eating” calories really count, and shouldn’t wine be considered a fruit?)   Now if you’re one of those freak of nature tomatoes who can eat what they want and never gain an ounce, well, not only do we hate you, but The Three Tomatoes Blog is probably not for you, unless you like to gloat.   But if you’re trying to lose weight too, or thinking about it, we invite you to join in the fray.  You can add your comments and thoughts at The Three Tomatoes Blog and get a little Three Tomatoes’ encouragement along the way.   Don’t know what the heck a blog is?  Click here and check it out.

Gourmet Food Without the Guilt

Now even if you’re not looking to lose weight, most of us are trying to eat healthier.  Here’s a line of wonderful seasonings and condiments along with recipes from timesavorgourmet.com that will help you make guilt free gourmet food in about the same time it takes you to order in those 5,000 calorie meals from your favorite local food joint.   Timesavor Gourmet is the brainchild of Stacey Hawkins, a self-proclaimed food junkie who wanted to lose weight and still indulge in great food.  Her personal success (yes, she’s lost a ton of weight without giving up great food) led her to create this great product line of dry seasonings (like  Citrus Dill Blend which is great in tuna salad),  healthy oils, mustards and a Balsamic Condimenti that’s a great salad dressing (0 fat, 10 calories) or topping for strawberries.   The herbs and seasons are hand-selected from around the world for freshness, vibrance and flavor and blended in small batches to ensure freshness, flavor and quality.   So throw away those store bought seasonings that have been hanging around your spice cabinet since Jimmy Carter was president and stock up today.  The products and easy to make recipes are available at www.timesavorgourmet.com

Need a cocktail dress tonight and no time to shop?
Picture this. You’re in your office dressed in business casual and your best friend calls and tells you she has tickets tonight to the opening of the hottest new play in town and an invite to the after show cast party. Not only do you have “nothing to wear”, but you don’t even have time to get home and peruse your closet full of nothing to wears, and no time to leave the office for a quick run to Saks. No need to miss the big event, or go looking like a slob.  Just hit the web and go to http://edressme.com and eDressme New York’s Dress to a Desk™ Manhattan service will come to your rescue.  Choose from their line of “red carpet” and designer evening and cocktail dresses and for just $20 extra, the dress will get delivered to your desk in NYC in as little as two hours!   Another reason to love New York !

Tomatoes you should know about

We love getting your emails and hearing from funny and interesting tomatoes in and out of New York City.  Here are three other tomatoes to put on your radar screen.

Georgia Richardson, aka Queen Jaw Jaw , is a Southern humorist, speaker, and gabologist.  Author of A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE THRONE and PINK JASPER - Gems from the Journey and a very funny free e-newsletter that you can sign up for at her web site, www.queenjawjaw.com.   Her last newsletter about the “worst blind date” (the guy brought his boss to their dinner date) had us roaring.

Is anybody hot in here?  Check out Dr. Carolyn Chambers Clark’s book, Living Well with Menopause:  What Your Doctor Doesn’t Tell You that You Need to Know  and her online web advice at http://menopause.bellaonline.com.

And then there’s Marsha Jordan who is the founder of a nonprofit charity for sick children and author of an inspirational women's book to raise money for the kids.  Check out her site at www.hugsandhope.org  and learn about the book at www.hugsandhope.org/book.htm

Til next week.

Quick Recipe from Timesavorgourmet.com
Salmon is one of the super foods, and here’s a great, easy recipe.  Pecan Encrusted Honey Mustard Salmon:  1 # Salmon Fillet, Time Savor Gourmet Deluxe Honey Mustard, 1/4C Chopped Pecans.  Preheat oven to 350.  Place salmon fillet in baking dish.  Spread Honey Mustard over fillet and top with chopped pecans.  Bake for 25-35 minutes, or until fish is flaky- but not overdone.  Enjoy with baby spinach side salad topped with sliced strawberries, goat cheese and Balsamic Condimenti.
