A great gift web site
We love it when we happen to stumble on a really fun web site with unique products
that also make great gifts -- and not just for us, but for actually giving to other people too.
Well Wrapables is this week's find. With items ranging from home
décor, to fashion asscessories, and very fun pet items, it's got just enough interesting and unique items to peruse without feeling
overwhelmed. We love the very fun martini glasses (surprise, surprise), like the Wicked Witch martini glass. We'll be all set
for Halloween. And then there's the "I'm sorry" jigsaw card
which hopefully by the time the recipient has pieced together the puzzle you'll be forgiven. And there's the new puppy welcome kit -- very
cute. Well, we could go on and on, but just check it out yourself -- www.wrapables.com.
Speaking of handbags
We confess. We have this thing for handbags.
And shoes too, but we'll save that obsession for another day. Now we know there are those who buy one handbag a season and
use it every day. And then there are those who buy lots of handbags every year and still use the same one every
day. And then there are those who buy lots of handbags in search for the "perfect" one, which trust us, does not
exist. And then there are those who buy handbags, well, just because. Well, we pretty much fall
into the later category and we do change our handbags depending on what we're wearing, or the mood of the day, or the occasion.
So here are a couple of web sites that recently caught our attention. So if you're a "bag" person read on.
At annawilliam.com, you can choose from one of several handbag
styles, and then customize it with the fabric of your choice. And you can even accessorize with a
matching belt. They're cute, reasonably priced and it's fun.
Then there is the other end of the spectrum. If you're one of those tomatoes
who really lusts over the season's "it" bags, you know the ones with the price tags that redefine the term "guilty pleasures", you should check
at Bag Borrow or Steal.
You may have read about it in this past Sunday's New York Times "Style" section in an article about "renting" the
lastest designer bag, jewelry, and fashion. At bagborroworsteal.com, you pay a $999 membership fee for the privilege
of renting a designer bag for a week or year Rentals range from $8.00 to $800.
Kind of makes you long for those politically incorrect knock off's doesn't it?
