1st Week of Advent Devotions:
Tuesday, 12/05/06
The royal line of David is like a tree that has been cut down; but just as
new branches sprout from a stump, so a new king will arise from among David's descendants. The spirit of the Lord will give him wisdom and the
knowledge and skill to rule his people. He will know the Lord’s will and honor him, and find pleasure in obeying him. He will
not judge by appearance or hearsay; he will judge the poor fairly and defend the rights of the helpless. At his command the people will be punished,
and evil persons will die. He will rule his people with justice and integrity.

What does Church of the Beloved mean to me? More and more each day. I came here
because of a flyer that stated, “our greatest desire is that you experience how much God loves you and wants to be a part of your
life.” I stay here because God speaks to my heart here and encourages me to be more. Our ministry family, our musicians, my
precious friends and the opportunity to get to know new faces enrich my life. It is a joy to be called Beloved!

Almighty and everlasting God, whose
will it is to restore all things
in your well-beloved Son, the King of
kings and Lord of lords:
Mercifully grant that the peoples of
the earth, divided and enslaved by sin,
may be freed and
brought together under his most gracious rule;
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever. Amen.
