Hendersonville Chamber Business Showcase
The Hendersonville Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business Showcase on Thursday, February 21, 2008. The event will be held at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Over 50 local businesses will be there, with 50 door prizes worth $25 or more to be handed out. Publix is providing the food as well. Keystone has tickets if you’re interested (they’re free!), and we’ll also be giving away some pretty sweet door prizes. Contact us if you’d like more information.
MicroHoo or YahooSoft? Everything You Need to Know
So you may have heard that Microsoft is trying to buy Yahoo. We’ve been covering the story on our blog since the news broke over a week ago. First Microsoft made an initial offer. Then Yahoo looked around for another suitor. Then they rejected Microsoft’s offer. And Microsoft held their ground, basically saying “Yeah, we’re taking you over one way or another.” Interesting stuff.

Donate Old Computer Monitors for a Good Cause
Volunteer State has made a generous donation of computers to Hendersonville High School, but they don’t have the monitors, keyboards, and mice to go with them. Anyone that has something to donate can drop it off at the Hendersonville High School Office between 8am and 3pm Monday through Friday.
