Welcome Tenant Breakfast March 6th
Join us in the First Floor break area for a breakfast honoring our tenants at 2101
Highland. Thursday, March 6th from 8:00 am until 9:30 am. Meet your property manager, Luanne Anderson, and
other staff members from Melaver, Inc.
Did you Know?
There is a no smoking policy in our building. Thank you for utilizing the
designated area to smoke.
Parking
If you work for a company in the 2101 building, please refrain from parking in the
Visitor parking spaces. Also, within the next 60 days, we will be implementing a parking 'hang-tag' system in order to monitor unauthorized
vehicles in the parking lot. Vehicles will receive a couple of warnings and then towed.
Lights Pardon our progress. During
the next few months several energy-saving adjustments will be made to 2101. The first step is replacing all of the interior lighting in the
building with energy-efficient lighting. This will require the electricians to be working inside the tenant space. We will let you know
exactly when this will happen and ensure as little interruption to your business as possible.
Green Office Tip Computers in the business sector
unnecessarily waste $1 billion worth of electricity a year. What can you do? Make it a habit to turn off your
computer—and the power strip it's plugged into—when you leave for the day. If you must leave your computer on at night to dial in
from home, please turn your monitor off. During the day, setting your computer to go to sleep automatically during short breaks can cut energy
use by 70 percent. Remember, screen savers don't save energy.
Green Myth
Fluorescent light bulbs cost much more
than an every day household incandescent light bulb.
Fact: Fluorescent bulbs will last about 10 times longer than
an incandescent bulb and will burn less energy. Comparing the two types of bulbs giving off the
same amount of light and burning for four hours per day for three years (4380 hours), you'll go through six incandescent bulbs,
while the fluorescent will still have another 3.8 years left.
