EIGHT NEW PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOLS APPROVED BY SUNY FOR FALL 2008 The New
York City Center for Charter School Excellence congratulates the eight public charter schools approved to open next fall by the State University of
New York's (SUNY) Charter School Institute. Seven of the eight approved charter schools will open in New York City. They are: Achievement
First Brownsville Charter School (Brooklyn); Collegiate Charter School (Brooklyn); Green DOT New York Charter School (Bronx), Carl C. Icahn Charter
School Far Rockaway (Queens); and Harlem Success Academy Charter School II, III and IV. We look forward to assisting these schools with their
