Hi Everybody! February is just about over, seems like it was just New Year’s Eve?
Nashville Mandolin Ensemble has been keeping me busy these days -- we did some very nice shows in Central,SC,
Tullahoma,TN and Ellijay,GA. NME is headed to NC, SC, WV and my home state of Pennsylvania over the first two weekends of March. Check the Tour Dates page for more info.
I did some interesting recording sessions recently for
a new teaching Web site called www.BluegrassCollege.org scheduled for launch in April. Other featured players were Mike
Bub, Chris Jones, Matt Flinner, Tim Stafford, and Dean of the Bluegrass College…Fiddlin’ Brian Wicklund.
Speaking of teaching, here at SoundArt we are hard at
work trying to get everything in place to begin teaching mandolin “LIVE ONLINE”. My plan is to be able to reach students of ALL LEVELS
for personal one-on-one lessons via my trusty webcam and my Dell PC. It will take a high-speed Internet connection on the student's end to make it
work and I've got some beta testers lined up to help us work out the kinks.
My IT guru Ed Gregory assures me that with advances of the past
few years, we can pull it off. There are a some guitar teachers doing this, but so far nobody seems to be doing this for mandolin. Could I be
the first???
SoundArt is still running several CD specials…
CLICK AND ALL WILL BE REVEALED !!!
Look for some new FREE info etc on the SoundArt site in the upcoming
months…BB’s discography, a regularly updated mandolin music Listening List that will feature bluegrass as well as
classical music, along with some info on music that has inspired over the years….AND a fun musical, historical, and sometimes hysterical Photo
Gallery!!!
See You Next Month
