Special Public Transportation Work Session Tonight
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in a joint session with the Franklin Transit Authority board and the TMA Group this evening at 5:00pm in the city hall boardroom. The purpose of this work session is to review the recently completed City of Franklin Public Transportation Report in detail. TranSystems, the consultant who prepared the report, will make a presentation and address questions.

Third Ward Alderman Seat
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen agreed to request letters of interest and resumes from anyone in the third ward who would like to be considered to fill the vacancy for this ward alderman seat on the board.  To qualify for office you must have been a resident of the State of Tennessee for not less than one year, a resident of the City of Franklin for not less than six months, have resided in the third ward for not less than sixty days and shall continue to reside in the third ward during the term of office. The board will determine the selection process at the January 15 BOMA meeting, depending on how many applicants step up.

1. Approved ordinance to rezone 7.13 acres from Planned Commercial (PC) to Planned Office (PO) and the concept plan for Carothers Professional Center, located south of Liberty Pike between Edward Curd Lane and Carothers Road
2. Approved ordinance to rezone 2.72 acres from Interstate Commercial (IC) to Planned Commercial (PC) and the concept plan for The Carrington, located on Riverside Drive.
3. Approved ordinance to rezone 6.52 acres from Estate Residential (ER) to Planned Commercial (PC) and the concept plan (7007 Moores Lane) located along Moores Lane near Franklin Road
4. Approved ordinance to annex the McEwen Drive Eastern Extension, consisting of 55.00 Acres, located east of the existing McEwen Drive Terminus at Wilson Pike    
5. Approved ordinance to zone 50.69 Acres (McEwen Drive Eastern Extension) to Estate Residential District (ER), located east of the terminus of McEwen Drive at Wilson Pike      
6. Approved ordinance to adopt fees for the Franklin Planning Review Process          
7. Approved ordinance to delay effective date of Ordinance 2006-75, Zoning Ordinance, to provide an effective date of July 1, 2008     
8. Approved Professional Services Agreement with Camp Dresser McKee for Engineering Services for Jordan Road Reconstruction Design from Mallory Lane to Aspen Grove Drive
New Business
1. Approved ordinance to add new Section 14-203 to Chapter 2, Title 14 of the Franklin Municipal Code to authorize the City Planning Director to adopt Administrative Regulations
2. Approved ordinance to rezone 36.8 acres from Agricultural (AG) to Residential Variety (RX) and the concept plan (Rizer Point) located on Del Rio Pike
3. Approved ordinance to increase the Water Installation Fee, Water Access Fee and Water Development Fee, to define Irrigation Meters and to amend Water User Rates
4. Approved ordinance to increase the Sewer Installation Fee, Sewer Access Fee and Sewer System Development Fee and to amend the Sewer Service Charge
5. Postponed to January awarding the construction bid for the Franklin Police Department Headquarters Building to R.G. Anderson Company

Water and Wastewater
1. Approved bid award for Phase II of the Goose Creek Interceptor Pump Station and Transmission Lines to Garney Companies Inc. of Kansas City
2. Approved Professional Services Agreement from Metcalf & Eddy for the Water System Quality Evaluation and Recommendation Project
3. Received the Aquatic Resource Alteration Permit (ARAP) from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), Franklin Water Treatment Plant
