Special Public Transportation Work Session Tonight
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet in a joint session with the
Franklin Transit Authority board and the TMA Group this evening at
5:00pm in the city hall boardroom. The purpose of this work session is
to review the recently completed City of Franklin Public Transportation
Report in detail. TranSystems, the consultant who prepared the report,
will make a presentation and address questions.
Third Ward Alderman Seat
The Board of Mayor and Aldermen agreed to request letters of interest
and resumes from anyone in the third ward who would like to be
considered to fill the vacancy for this ward alderman seat on the
board. To qualify for office you must have been a resident of the
State of Tennessee for not less than one year, a resident of the City
of Franklin for not less than six months, have resided in the third
ward for not less than sixty days and shall continue to reside in the
third ward during the term of office. The board will determine the
selection process at the January 15 BOMA meeting, depending on how many
applicants step up.
