La Cima Charter School Approved Congratulations to La Cima Charter

students.
DoE to Release Progress Reports on City's Charter Schools Progress
Reports on NYC public charter schools could be released to the public as early as tomorrow. See 'Progress on Progress Reports' by James Merriman in
CenterPiece.
DoE Shared Space Campus Management Memo Schools should have received the DoE’s
latest campus management memo in the last month. Thank you to all the schools that worked with the Center and our Education Pioneer, Katie
Ruddy, to document the issues that schools have experienced in utilizing shared space over the years. See more under 'Operations
Info.'
Common Lottery Day Update See 'Operations Info' for more details on
April 3rd and the National Charter Lottery Day.
ELA SCORING Attention all schools serving grades K-2: This winter the Center will host
the 2008 NYC Scoring Collaborative, where charter school teachers score the open response portions of the New York State ELA and Math tests. This
is a great opportunity for your staff to learn about the testing process and for your teachers to get experience scoring. If you are interested
in participating please email Nathan Hood
by Friday, December 21.
Holiday Greetings and Cheer, Grant Opportunity As part of wishing everyone a happy holiday
and prosperous New Year (Click here to view interactive videocard), the Center is inviting all charter schools to apply for a $1,000
grant that will be used for a fun activity for school staff and or students in 2008. Please submit one paragraph that describes your
activity or project, targeted participants and associated costs. This is a one-time grant opportunity. Please submit your entry in digital
version no later than January 15, 2008 to Nadine Patterson. The
Center will select the winner by random lottery and make the announcement on March 15, 2008. Good Luck!
