students have 22 weeks to complete the courses. The cost for TIA members is $350 plus $80 for the textbook; for non-members the cost is $475
plus $105 for the textbook.

Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) Exam
July 28, 2007
The next CTB exam is on Saturday, July 28, 2007. It is a four hour multiple choice exam covering: Basic
Business Practices; Logistics, Transportation, and Carrier Management; and Broker Regulations, Operations and Practices. You must pass all three
sections in order to earn your CTB designation.

Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) Home Study Course
Begins August 6
CTB was developed by TIA to increase the professionalism and integrity of property
brokerage, meet the educational needs of brokers, and expand basic knowledge of the brokerage and transportation industry through a rigorous
certification program. The CTB Program, designed with home study and exam components, provides brokers with a wealth of information on business
operations, transportation regulations, and brokerage practices.

The TIA Foundation has rescheduled the second International
Freight Forwarding Boot Camp to October 12-14, 2007. The boot camp is designed to give senior leadership at 3PLs the tools they need to
move their companies into the expanding field of international logistics.
Formally
a one-day course, the international freight forwarding seminar has been redesigned into an intensive two-part, six day seminar. The second part
of the course will begin October 12, 2007 and will be held again at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center in Denver, CO. Attendance for the
first boot camp is not a requirement to attend the 2nd boot camp! The cost to attend is $1,100 per part.
