After years of dreaming about having our own retail space, First Samples is proud to present the launch of the Twilight Emporium. In celebration of this achievement, we will be hosting a cozy launch soiree on November 9th and would love to show you around the new space and inspire you to get back to your sewing!

Twilight Emporium aims to be a place where the creative force within us can be inspired by the idea of the ability to share our creations. What you will find at the Twilight Emporium is a tightly edited selection of one of a kind special items the wearer can cherish forever. Not exactly the go-to spot for your everyday jeans and tees, the Twilight Emporium will offer you unique and high quality fashion and accessories made with all sorts of love and magic. Our goal is to seek out and discover new talented designers, mostly local, but sometimes exotic,  who love to create and need a place to showcase their finished products either for the public or for buyers of a larger scale.

After all, what's the point of making gorgeous stuff if you can't share it with the people around you?

The Twilight Emporium is a celebration of achievement.

At this time of the year, I would like to send out a big THANK YOU to all of the people who have made a difference here at First Samples:

Tristan:  There would be no here without you.  I can't even begin to thank you enough.

Antoinette:  Thank you for helping me to see this business as more than a series of events but something that becomes what I make it.

Tina:  Thank you for being so nonjudgmental and flexible when I say it's one way and then it ends up another.  And thank you for giving me some evenings off!

Waverly: Thank you for keeping me from becoming paralyzed by all of the things on my to do list.

Dee:  Thank you for your strong voice and you fierceness.  You are a great ally.

Lucy:  Thank you for your constant enthusiasm and wonderful talent for really listening and giving me honest replies.

Jonathan:  Thank you for always taking the time to drop in to remind me that there is more than enough.

Kelly:  Thank you for teaching me how to follow through.  PS Happy Birthday!

Karin:  Yeah!

There are so many more of you that I would like to thank.  Every day I understand more and more how much I owe to the people who have made themselves known to me.  I would like to let you all know how thankful I am for all of the help and support you all have shown throughout these last three years that First Samples has been in business.  I have learned so much from each and every one of you.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely,

Shauna Smith
