First plenary session of the African American Healthy Marriage
Initiative Conference Reveals Revolutionary Research
A recent article in the Triangle Tribune, North Carolina’s only Sunday
paper that specifically targets the African American market in the Charlotte, NC area reported on an important issue; how the
breakdown of marriage and responsible fatherhood is threatening the nation’s future.
The Keynote speaker was Kay Hymowitz; author of, “Marriage and
Caste in America: Separate and Unequal Families in a Post-Marital Age.”
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and ACF hosted the conference
which also included the National Conference of Black Mayors and the National Head Start Association.
Read the full article and become aware of this important issue and how it affects the future of marriage in our country.

How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk(ette) in Milwaukee
Recent attendees of a "How to Avoid Marrying a Jerk(ette)" class had a great time while learning how to pick a partner.
Facilitated by Faye Sims and held at the Praise Temple International Church, attendees who took the class were impressed by all the helpful and
unique information. They were also enthusiastic about letting others know about this great healthy relationship education in Milwaukee and
commented that they will be encouraging their friends to take a thinkmarriage class.
Your comments, encouragements and thoughts are welcome!
