I've written recently about identifying your dream prospects and introducing your services to them, and
some of you are doing just that. But I've also been hearing that it's not easy to reach them on the phone and you don't have their email
address. What to do?
Here’s the technique I use to get it. I leave my voice mail message with a friendly introduction
and a concise reason for my call. Then I press zero and am usually connected to a receptionist, to whom I say, "I just left a voice mail
message for John Smith, and I need to email him something, too. Would you mind giving me his email address?" Unless they have a policy
against it, they always say yes and give it to me.
One of the tricks is to speak slowly, because speaking quickly can be interpreted as deceptive, like
you're trying to get something you shouldn't have. And that's not the case here.
This is just one of the many tips from Email Marketing Secrets, a live presentation I gave in November.
Today we're offering the 11-page transcript plus 41 slides for $9.95. More info here at Marketing Mentor-Store.com.
And here are a couple of my favorite email marketing resources: Christopher Knight's Ezine Tips (emailuniverse.com ) and Michael Katz's E-newsletter on E-Newsletters (bluepenguindevelopment.com ).
