CT Students Start a Reading Revolution
BwB students in Connecticut held a Reading Revolution for their annual spring Joint Service Project in April. Nearly 190 students and teachers from
the 17 BwB
programs in the region turned out to volunteer and 300 adults and children from the community attended the day devoted to reading. In addition to a massive book distribution, students ran
other activities such as face painting, story hour, bookmark and bilingual book making, literacy games and other educational activities.

people in
sub-Saharan Mali in west Africa. In an essay she wrote after returning to the U.S., she echoes what many BwB students feel after Trek, "I can easily
say that Trek
was the best experience of my life." Read more...
