Announcing more flexibility in choosing your monthly pricing plan...

New improvements to our billing system make it easier to pick - and change - the perfect plan.

Dear ,

We're pleased to announce a round of enhancements to our billing feature that will make it easier to adjust for expected changes in email volume by scheduling those plan changes ahead of time. It's a feature we've cleverly dubbed our Plan Scheduling feature, and it basically lets you choose whether a plan change should take effect now or kick in the first of next month.

-> Log in now and head to your account settings section to check it out, or keep reading for more details.

How might you put our Plan Scheduling feature to work?

[1] Let's say it's March, which is easy to do, since it's actually March. And in March, you're sending your standard newsletter to your standard 1,000 recipients at your standard plan of 1,000 emails per month. Life is simple. But wait! But you've got a rodeo-themed event scheduled for April, and you know you'll be sending several reminders to your recipients. You can upgrade your plan to, say, 5,000 emails in March and schedule it to take place on April 1. (Before this new feature, the only option was to have your upgrade take effect right away.)

[2] Now it's April, your rodeo-themed event registration has been wildly successful, and you have no idea where you're going to find that many bandanas. Because of all the interest, you've sent well past your 5,000 email plan, and you need to upgrade your plan to send 10,000 emails in April. Even though you paid for 5,000 emails at the beginning of the month, you can choose to have your plan upgrade for April take effect immediately, covering you for the unexpected increase in emails.

[3] Whew. It's the end of April, the event is over, you took a long nap to recover, and you need to return to your standard plan of 1,000 emails a month. You can schedule your downgrade from 10,000 emails to 1,000 emails to take place at the beginning of May. Yeehaw, cowboy.

There you have it! We hope you'll log in and give the new plan scheduling feature a whirl some time this week, whether or not you have an actual rodeo event planned for next month. We hope you do. You can also read our full Billing Q&A for more information and tips on managing your monthly plan. As always, let us know what you think or what questions you have along the way...

Cheers,
Emma

What we're working on

Here's a quick look at some of the features we're planning in the next few months.

More flexibility with your signup screen.
We're adding a new way to tie your Emma-powered sign-up screen to your website. Have your web designer make a few tweaks to your style settings, and you'll be able to control fonts, colors and even the width of your form.
[Join the beta team for this feature.]

Integration with Salesforce.com.
If you use Salesforce.com to manage your prospects or customers, you'll be able to retrieve and import lists out of Salesforce right within your Emma account. [Join the beta team for this feature.]

Surveys, surveys and surveys.
A popular item on the wish-list, you'll soon have the ability to create and publish stylish, simple surveys with Emma and track the results (in real time, of course).
