Upcoming Events:
Join us for our next event. The Washington Romance Pre-retreat signing is on Friday, April 25 from 11-2pm. Special Guests attendees from the
Retreat are: Victoria Alexander, Kresley Cole, and Mariah Stewart. WRW members scheduled to attend are: Nora Roberts, Mary Burton, Sophia Nash,
Kathryn Caskie, Sally MacKenzie, Donna Kauffman, and Gail Barrett. We've been given special permission to sell Nora's second book in the Sign
of
Seven trilogy, The Hollow, during the booksigning only. The actual on sale date is Tuesday, May 6. If you can't make the event, you can still
order signed books via our virtual signing page.
Our 13th Anniversary Signing is scheduled for Saturday, July 12. Nora will be signing her latest Putnam
Hardcover, Tribute. Once again the Hagerstown Suns will be hosting Nora Night at the Ball Park on Friday, July 11. We'll post more information
on both events in our next Newsletter.
Our Book Club is still meeting every second Wednesday and has grown since it's inception two years ago. This month's book is No! I Don't Want
To Join A Book Club by British Author and Humorist Virginia Ironside. In June they'll be reading A Wedding In December by Anita Shreve.
We'll still be hosting Story Hour through June every third Friday from 10:30-11:30. We'll read some stories, have a snack, and then do a simple
craft. Children's books are 20% off during Story Hour.
New in the Store:
We've got some really exciting new products in the store. Check out our Eve and Roarke
fleece blankets and our 2008 Turn The Page Mugs.
Other items include new soy candles, wax crumbles and room sprays made locally especially for us. Cedar Ridge
Soaps has updated
their products to make them more earth friendly, and added new scents to their line. Also check out our Spring scented Colonial
Candles. We've also
just received our latest shipment of new Webkinz and Webkinz
figurines. We'll also be introducing a new interactive plush line of cuddly friends called Kookeys. We will have them on our site as
soon as they arrive.
Future books:
As mentioned Nora's new Jove, The Hollow
goes on sale May 6. The mass market of High Noon goes on sale May 27, along with the reissue of the third in the Stanislaski series Waiting
for Nick and Considering Kate.
Subscription News:
We're in the process of invoicing The Hollow which will ship out on May 2. We'll start processing invoices for the mass market of High Noon
towards the middle of May. Please make sure all of your information is up to date.
