Towson Golf and Country Club is proud to host the 3rd Annual Swim~A~Thon to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Guests are welcome to join in on the fun on July 13, 2008, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The guest fee for non-members will be waived for those who submit a valid pledge sheet or donation. 

Swimmers of ALL ages are invited! 

Pledge Sheets are available at the pool and in the club’s office.

Tennis Update:

Important Notice

 

Tennis Attire

No one, including children, may wear jeans, jams, cut-offs, Bermudas, swim trunks, or exercise wear. Warm-up suits are considered proper tennis attire. Tennis shirts with sleeves (no t-shirts) are required for men. Children under 18 will be permitted to wear appropriate tennis t-shirts. Traditional tennis attire is required for women. Only tennis shoes with smooth soles are allowed. No basketball, running shoes, or cross trainers with tread on soles are allowed.

Tuesday, July 8th 1:00pm: TGCC Junior 17’s Team vs. Hunt Valley 17’s Courts 3-8

Tuesday, July 8th 5:45pm: TGCC Men’s Team vs. Meadowbrooke Courts 3, 5-8

Wednesday, July 9th 6:00pm: TGCC Women’s A & B Intraclub Courts 7 & 8

Thursday, July 10th 1:00pm: TGCC Junior 17’s Team vs. Roland Run Courts 3-8

 

TGCC Women’s & Men’s Club Championship Doubles Tournaments:

 

             A & B flights will begin play the week of July 14th. Teams will have 2 weeks to play each round. All matches will consist of 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring.  To enter, sign up at the pro shop bulletin board by July 10th. Draws will be posted by July13th on the pro shop bulletin board. The staff and/or club tournament chairman, Heiko Osterchrist will contact participants to confirm first round matches. Once opponents are determined, participants are responsible for contacting each other to schedule their match within the 2 week time frame. Once a time is finalized teams must contact the pro shop so the staff can put the scheduled date and time on the draw sheet and make sure a court is reserved for the match. Any cases of conflicts or difficulties scheduling a match within the 2 week period will be subject to review by the club tournament chairman to determine any necessary defaults. Teams that do not adhere to the tournament schedule of matches will be defaulted.     For more information, call Justin at the pro shop or e-mail at jbehm@tgcc.net

            This event features several rounds of doubles with changing partners.  Courtside dining will follow tennis at approximately 7:30pm.
