Introducing
Gourmet Safari.
It's
freshly baked and still warm at your doorstep (inbox). Gourmet Safari has
just launched & after spending so much time in the kitchen baking the idea,
I thought that I should let you know that it's now fully baked!
For those
of you who don't know (and I can't imagine that there are many of you who don't
only because this has been 'my life' for the last year & a half) - Gourmet
Safari is a combined food & travel adventure (2 of my favourite things to
do in the world).
Gourmet
Safari is a fun, innovative & educational way to travel. It's about being immersed & getting really
close to a culture through food (it's like spending a week in someone else's life). One-week or even one-day culinary
vacations in intimate locales in Italy/France/Spain. We've hand-picked
the places - stay and cook at a 13th century farmhouse, an historic
villa, even a former monastery or a beautiful boutique hotel in northern Spain that
was once a family home. It’s an
opportunity for those who love food - foodies - to take in cooking lessons from
local chefs or great
home cooks, visit restaurants, open-air markets & wineries.
In
January we took a trip over to Italy, France & Spain to personally
check-out many of the places. The locations had an endless supply
of character & charm and we immediately felt 'right at home'.
It was an incredible experience & it
made me realize that this is something unique.
I
also recently made a short 'n sweet appearance on Breakfast Television (for those
of you who didn't tune in), as well as an interview on Mix 99.9 with Humble &
Fred. I am trying to 'spread the word', so if you know someone who might be interested
