October 11
For their Fall Regional Service Project, BwB members will volunteer with Art Sphere, a
local non-profit. BwB students will assist at one of Art Sphere's largest cross-cultural exchanges by running a variety of children's activities
including origami, face painting, and book making. BwB volunteers will also help create a mural and guide Art Sphere visitors through the warehouse
space, introducing them to artists from around the world! Volunteers from the community are also welcome! For more information, contact Joanna Lautenberger, (215) 772-2957.

Welcome to New & Returning Members!
This fall, BwB Pennsylvania will partner with 13 schools in the greater Philadelphia area to host
after-school programs. We offer a special welcome to two new schools joining us this year: Delaware Valley Charter School and Science Leadership
Academy. We also welcome Chad Zibelman, Program & Trek
Coordinator,
to the BwB team. He is a certified teacher and joins us after a two-year stint with the Peace Corps in Namibia. Together, we look forward to another
great year of service, education, sponsorship and fun! Click here

Trek to Nicaragua Opens Hearts & Minds
Two PA students reflect on their Trek for Knowledge to a small village
in
Nicaragua: "We have learned the value of living simply and the importance of community. Before Trek, we understood that people around the world were
poor but going to this village and living with host families really opened our eyes. So many things about Nuevo Amanecer were amazing. Even though
the
community is poor the villagers have so much to offer. They have beautiful families and warm hearts." Read more.
