This is the time of year to add a new fabulous piece of jewelry to your collection to make a statement at a holiday party, or give a one-of-a-kind gift to a friend who appreciates handmade jewelry. Here's a sneak peek at my new gold collection as well as some places where you can find my work in December:

On the Road: New England

This year I am heading back to Boston for Crafts at the Castle, a beautiful show held at the Hynes Convention Center Nov. 29 - Dec. 2. I will have a selection of jewelry with an emphasis on sparkly gold for parties as well as my book "Elegant Wire Jewelry" and great gift jewelry available for sale.

My work is also part of the Celebration of American Crafts exhibit at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, CT through Dec. 24. Several wonderful boutiques carry my work as well, including Motto in Cambridge, MA; The Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA; and The Muse's Window in Concord, MA.

Open Studio: Nov. 30 - Dec. 2

My studio will be open as part of the Cornelia Arts Holiday Show on Friday from 6-9pm and Sat + Sun 11am - 5pm. There will be a sale bin, a huge selection of earrings (the one-size-fits-all jewelry gift!), and great jewelry for holiday giving and wearing. More than 40 artists will be participating in this show, so it's a great way to start the holiday shopping season.

Cornelia Arts Building, 1800 W. Cornelia Ave.
in Chicago, entrance on West Ravenswood,
Studio #205b on the second floor

One of a Kind Show: Dec. 6-9 at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago (open to the public)

Come in from the cold and get all your gift shopping done at this fabulous show of 450 artists! Look for me in Booth #1063 along the back wall. Visit the One of a Kind Show & Sale Chicago website for $3 off the $10 admission charge by ordering your tickets online.

Where to Find: Midwest

My jewelry is included in the One & Only: Gifts Made By Hand exhibition at ARTspace at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, WI through Jan. 28.

Many new galleries have started carrying my work, including the Detroit Gallery of Contemporary Crafts; Heartwear Designs in Birmingham, MI; Bliswear in Cleveland, OH; and Sav-Art Gallery in Kansas City, MO. New holiday selections have also been added to the Ann Arbor Art Center; Dancing Loon in New Buffalo, MI; and Poppy in Columbia, MO.

Tennessee: Fine Art & Fine Authors Show on Saturday, Dec. 8, 12-9:30pm

Come on out to this great show in Chattanooga held at the Tanner Hill Gallery. Signed copies of my book will be available as well as a wide selection of my jewelry. Beth from Plum Nelly will be representing my work for me. She also carries my work in her gallery -- a different selection of jewelry will be available at the show, including some one of a kind pieces from my book.

Hopefully this letter finds you well. I look forward to seeing you at one of my shows!

Happy Holidays,

Kathy

ps- I stalled out on the new website due to my travel schedule. The gallery is in the works now, and more photos are scheduled. It will be launched in the new year. You can still place orders online through my current website or call/email me directly if you are interested in a piece not available on the website. Thanks for your patience!
