Dear ,
I am excited to announce that our Bay Area Working Professional MBA program will have a new home starting August 1.
We have just signed a long-term lease with Bishop Ranch and will teach our first classes there during Intersession right after Labor Day. On August 1
we will host a lunch-time open house there for students and then will hold a larger event in the fall for our entire community.
Our new facility, in Bishop Ranch 15 (pictured), is less than a mile from our current location at the San Ramon Valley Conference
Center, maintaining both
convenience and accessibility for our students. Our valued partnership with the San Ramon Valley Conference Center has allowed us needed flexibility
as our program quickly matured to its current size -- more than 160 students.
Bishop Ranch 15's state-of-the-art space will include four classrooms, four meeting rooms and a spacious student commons, comparable to the home
of our Working Professional MBA program in Sacramento at One Capitol Mall.
Students will
have 24-hour access to the 9,000-square-foot suite, and can take advantage of a high-speed wireless network, networked computer terminals, personal
mail folders, and
printer and copiers. There will also be workspace for faculty and staff, a caterer staging area, and on-site storage, as well as ample parking and
convenient BART shuttles. GSM
staff will be on-site when classes meet.
This move to Bishop Ranch reflects the UC Davis Graduate School of Management's growing presence and reputation in the Bay Area and provides a more
permanent base of operations to deepen our connections with the region's business community.
We look forward to expanding our programming and
offering more opportunities for our students to interact with business and community leaders.
We launched the Bay Area Working Professional MBA program in 2004 with high hopes and a lot of hard work. The success of our students and program
have exceeded all expectations. As our charter class of Bay Area students look forward to Commencement in June, now it is time to take the next
step.
Please join me in celebrating this milestone.
Sincerely,
Dean Nicole Woolsey Biggart
