Tips for Parents: How to Boost Your Daughter's Self- Esteem
- Give her praise on her ideas, characteristics, and appearance.
- Expose your daughter to women of various ages and sizes, redefining her own standard of
beauty.
- Help her set realistic, achievable goals based on her character and interests and not her
appearance.
- Listen to her thoughts and ideas to show her that her opinions matter.
- Take note of your daughter's achievements by celebrating over dinner or even by simply mentioning how proud you are of her hard
work.
