Consultant of the Month
Deborah Naybor, Alden, NY
Deborah Naybor (far left in photo, presenting a check to South
African Women in Construction to buy tools for women contractors in 2005), grew up in the suburbs of New York City. She has an associates
degree in Forestry, a BS in Literature and is currently working on her Masters degree in Humanitarian Services. In 1985, she
became only the 12th woman in NY State to receive her professional land surveyor’s license and she has owned Naybor Land Surveys in
Alden for over 17 years. The firm employs 16 people and surveys residential and commercial property, as well as highways, airports
and construction sites. Naybor has been honored with 22 awards on local, regional
and national levels. Her passion is making a difference through economic empowerment. Creating self sustainable
income for poor villages around the world, she has discovered a system of linking American communities to those most in need. She
has created microloans, built schools and a medical clinic, and donated thousands of pounds of clothing, fabric, medical and school supplies in eight
countries and parts of the United States.
The case of pink hammers that put Tomboy Tools over the top in meeting our initial goal was purchased by a group of consultants
to support Deb Naybor's involvement with South African Women in Construction. The Tomboy Tools Corporate office shipped them free as our way of
supporting everyone involved. Thank you Deb for joining Tomboy Tools and allowing us to participate in your contribution and bigger
purpose.
