WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PURCHASE A MET CONTRACT?
Parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, businesses and
organizations may purchase a MET
contract for a Michigan child. The earlier you start saving for higher education, the better.
“I would encourage all parents of young children to sign up for MET,” said Jim Steiger, parent of a Central
Michigan University sophomore and a University of Michigan nursing graduate. “The best part about MET is there’s no worry about stock
market fluctuations like there is in other educational investment savings plans.”
Open enrollment for MET runs through July 31,
2007.
