Streak Chicago Pink & Celebrate the 2006 Pink Streak Team
The Y-ME Illinois Associate Board invites you to Streak Chicago Pink, honoring the Y-ME Illinois 2006 Pink Streak Team.
On September 26th, 26 days before the big 26.2 miles, we will gather to celebrate an
amazing team of individuals who have made the commitment to run The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon and raise money to further the mission of Y-ME
Illinois, ensuring that no one faces breast cancer alone. We will also be honoring Lee Flaherty, for his leadership role in creating the Chicago
Marathon and for his dedication to the fight against breast cancer.
Enjoy live entertainment by Gel, delicious hors d'oeuvres, pink chocolate fountains
provided by The Melting Pot and refreshing beverages donated by Budweiser and Rex Goliath Wines.

On Wednesday, September 20, Y-ME Illinois and other leading cancer support organizations will present The
Living Well Event, a
free women's cancer health and wellness evening, at the McDonald's Campus in Oak Brook. This evening will include interactive demonstrations,
panels, and seminars. Click here for more information.
Additionally, Y-ME Illinois is pleased to continue its partnership with the Aveda
Institute for the Y-ME Wellness Night on Thursday, November 9. This evening of pampering will offer hair services, facials,
stress-less
services and make-up applications to breast cancer patients and survivors.

On October 28, 2006 nearly 2000 breast cancer survivors, their families and friends will join in the 26th Annual Y-ME Illinois Fashion Show &
Luncheon at the Chicago Hilton. This year we will be honoring those Special Supporters who make up your Circle of Help and Healing. One again, this
event promises to be an elegant afternoon of music, food, fashion and the celebration of survivorship and life.
You can also honor those near and dear to you by placing an ad in the 2006 Tribute Book. The Tribute Book is distributed to all who attend the
Fashion Show & Luncheon. This book gives you a special platform to show your support for breast cancer patients, survivors and their families. It is
also an opportunity to remember and honor your friends and relatives while allowing Y-ME Illinois to help more breast cancer survivors and their
loved ones.

Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program
Update
Gov. Blagojevich recently expanded the Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, which offers
free mammograms, breast exams, pelvic exams and Pap tests to thousands more women in Illinois. Additionally, eligible women who are diagnosed outside
of the program can now get free cancer treatment as a result of the expansion.

The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon

Once again, Y-ME Illinois will be staffing one of The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon Water Stations. We are looking for volunteers to cheer the
runners on while providing them much needed and appreciated hydration!
This is a wonderful opportunity to be involved with both Y-ME Illinois and The LaSalle Bank Chicago Marathon. There is nothing like being in the
front row, supporting 40,000 runners as they run one of the most popular marathons in the world.

and emails of those who want to volunteer with you. Our volunteer slots will fill quickly so we can not guarantee everyone a slot. Send your email

Telephone Interview
Medical Data Concepts, an independent consulting firm is working with a pharmaceutical
manufacturer interested in understanding the role of patients in deciding their therapy. They are recruiting patients to participate in a telephone
interview. You will not be asked to take any medication - this is strictly a telephone interview. Your opinions and responses will be treated
confidentially and will be reported only in aggregate with all participants. Your name and individual answers will not be identified. In appreciation
