Del Parson paints a picture for Los Pequeñitos de OSSO
Del Parson, a portrait painter famous for his paintings of Christ, (see his website), was convinced by the Morrell family (Morrell Family Charities) to paint a picture depicting Christ with some of the children we serve, some of the Morrell family and some of the Rosero family (the Roseros are OSSO’s Project Directors in Cuenca).

Morrellfamily

Cherish Morrell felt impressed that a picture showing Christ with the some of the children we serve would communicate the mission of our new orphanage. In late July Del Parson and his wife Lynette traveled to Cuenca to get pictures of the children and adults in the picture. His wife had brought costumes for them to wear. They also took some landscape pictures to use for a background in the painting.

ChristandChildren

Del, who has been commissioned by the LDS Church to paint many pictures of Christ, is very well-known throughout the LDS Church. OSSO has given framed pictures of his painting “Christ and Children from around the World” to all of the orphanages we work in because it portrays the importance of children. While the Parsons were in Cuenca they held a special fireside with members of the LDS community there where Del talked about his paintings and gave out signed copies of his work. It was extremely well attended.

The 4x5½-foot original is hanging in the multipurpose room of our new orphanage, Los Pequeñitos de OSSO. It truly has become the heart of our new orphanage.

This painting is available for sale on our website in a few different sizes. Proceeds from the sale of this painting by Del Parson will go toward the benefit of our orphanage Los Pequeñitos de OSSO.
