"The Jackalope's Tales"

"The Jackalope's Tales" is a collection of films, animations and
paintings reflecting UVA student artist Emily Prescott Hamel's unique sense
of humor. Inspired by the works of Tim Burton, Hayao Miyazaki, Peter Lord and Brian
Sibley, "The Jackalope's Tales" is a glimpse into
the unlimited potential of the human imagination and animation as
an artistic medium.
Three other graduating UVA Studio Art majors will also have works on display at the exhibit:

Charlottesville Women's Theatre Project presents its first production, Talking With... by Jane Martin, at The Bridge. What do a snake
handler, baton twirler, and a
rodeo queen have in common? They all have a story and some wisdom to share. A collection of eleven monologues, Talking With... explores both
the
humor and heartbreak in the lives of women from all walks of life.
The Charlottesville Women's Theatre Project seeks to
showcase women actors, technicians, directors, and playwrights.

Sons of Bill at Fridays After Five

Local country rockers Sons of
Bill began making music together in fall 2005. After
winning UVA's Battle of the Bands, they recorded their first
full-length record, "A Far Cry From Freedom." Since then, the album has received airplay throughout the country and in Europe and has undergone
several pressings to keep up with the increasing demand.
Catch the Sons of Bill live, with Justin Jones opening, for a FREE all-ages outdoor show that will
kick of the
Pavilion's 2008 Fridays After Five Concert
Series.
