SHOULDER REPLACEMENT...Study Shows Recovery Easier than Hip or Knee Replacement

Are you considering shoulder replacement?  A brand-new study from Johns Hopkins in Baltimore reports that the 23,000 individuals now have shoulder replacements each year, with shorter hospital stays and fewer complications than those having knee or hip replacements. New techniques and better implants make shoulder surgery an option you shouldn’t shrug off.

Dr. Ted Blakemore, Orthopedic Surgeon, will discuss this procedure and answer your questions at a free community lecture, Thursday, November 1 at 7 pm at the Osterville Community Center.

Dr. Blakemore, Orthopedic Surgeon, is director of the shoulder replacement program at Osterville Community Hospital.  He attended Georgetown University Medical School and is former co-director of the UCLA Shoulder Service.
