Back from Camp...Ready to Lead
3,460 student leaders and advisers participated in one of the 14 summer camps sponsored by Washington Student Leadership. More than 300 volunteers working at three different sites (Cispus, Chewelah Peak & Central Washington Univeristy) taught 1,536 high school student leaders, 689 middle level student leaders, 1,089 cheerleaders and 167 student activity advisers. We hope they come back to you full of energy, ideas and a desire to serve.

GREETINGS
The office staff yesterday were amazed that nighttime temperatures got down to 36 degrees just down the road from Cispus. Just like school starting in a rush, there is no lingering summer in the mountains. Welcome back! We look forward to another year of providing you with programs and resources to make your life in schools a little easier.

RESOURCES & ACTIVITIES

Webbing Loop Activities for Groups

Webbing loops can be used for a variety of groups in a variety of settings. Some of the activities lend themselves as perfect introductions or metaphors for a staff development day. Many can be used as "practice" problem-solving activities to help student leadership teams improve their teamwork. A few, with some thoughtful considerations, can be adapted to serve as positive school climate activities during assemblies and socials.
