Westin Hotel Project
The Chamber participated in public forums this week to review the proposed Westin Hotel
project on Broadway between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. It is clear after meeting with the developers that they are committed to
sensitivity to the various concerns about preserving the atmosphere and integrity of Lower Broadway. It was also clear at the forums this week that
there is excitement and anticipation from the downtown business community for the positive impact this development will have on the city. The Chamber
is enthusiastically supportive of this project, knowing a Westin will complement the existing and planned developments that stand to completely
revitalize the SoBro area in the next few years.
