New at Rock-Pond Solutions

Matt Lager Joins Rock-Pond Development Team

As our customer base and consulting work expands, so do our requests for more information out of the existing data structures of home infusion and HME software systems. We are glad to announce the addition of Matt Lager to our development team.  Matt has over 5 years technical experience in the HME and home infusion industries, primarily in the infrastructure and system support areas but also including many data-oriented projects. His analytical and business oriented approach, combined with his knowledge of SQL Server and Crystal Reports has already put him in the Hero seat here at Rock-Pond.

Homecare Collection Service Integration Expanded
As the home infusion industry matures and margins decrease, the focus on patient receivables seems to be growing. Many home infusion companies have used the patient pay reports and customized statements in Home Infusion Reports to reduce the time it takes to manage and collect this money. Homecare Collection Service recognized the unique challenges of patient receivables and has delivered solutions for this area of your business since 2003.

Rock-Pond Solutions and Homecare Collection Service have teamed up to integrate our reports with their process and service to further automate this process and improve the results to the provider. Get the details.

Be A Hero Campaign Expanded - everyone gets a free report!
Rock-Pond Solutions launched our Be A Hero campaign last month, promoting free services from us and two of our partners that are certain to make the person who recommends them a hero in their company.

With the expansion of our development team, we are excited to offer any home infusion provider a free report they can use as many times as they want to get the information they need from their data.  Consider replacing a process where you manually enter information from a system report into Excel to reformat your data. Or, replace a 100 page report with a summary report grouped by the categories you need to give you exactly what you need.  Call us at 501-450-6446 and discuss your information needs.

Customer Case Study:

Provider Turns to Rock-Pond Solutions For Audit /Compliance Support

The value of a home infusion company is based on tangible items (fixed assets, A/R, etc.) and intangible items (patient base, referral sources, etc.). When acquiring a home infusion provider it is important to be able substantiate the value you place on each of these and properly amortize them from an accounting perspective. Recently one of our customers who is expanding through acquisitions asked us to provide detailed reports such as the revenue received from patients on service at the time of acquisition in order to substantiate goodwill amounts and trend referrals before and after an acquisition to determine the impact the acquisition had on referral patterns. Being able to exploit the data sources of all of the home infusion systems on the market is critical to providing this type of accounting information.

Report of the Month

Each month Rock-Solid Intelligence features a report from Home Infusion Reports that give you critical business information from the data you already have.

Patient Statements
If the patient statements features of your home infusion software are not presenting the information to your patients exactly like you want it to, consider using Home Infusion Reports to manage the entire patient pay receivables process, including the statements you send to your patients. It can be challenging to present all the information that is needed without confusing your patients. The Home Infusion Reports patient pay statements work seamlessly with other patient pay reports to give you control while significantly reducing the time required. Call us at 501-450-6446 and we'll go through the whole process with you. It's one more way Home Infusion Reports extends the value of your information system investment.

Technology tips of the Month

Each month Rock-Solid Intelligence shares a technology tip or software program that has made our work a little easier.

Microsoft Outlook--Fax Number Tip
Have you ever been frustrated by the fact that Microsoft Outlook considers a fax number an outgoing destination--so when it looks up a name in the contact list it requires you to choose between the email and the fax number - every time!! If you don't want to have to make this choice every time, enter your fax numbers as "fax - 800-555-1212" instead of "800-555-1212" and Outlook will see this is an invalid fax number and default to the email address just like you want it to.
