Most of you know our mission at Tomboy Tools is to make a difference in women’s lives. Having just finished our 5^th Annual Convention late last month, it’s always so interesting to meet our newer consultants, to see those we’ve met before and to spend time with those that have been with us all along. I love to hear about what everyone does “outside” of Tomboy Tools.  Many of our consultants are involved in giving back to their communities and the world to make a positive impact.  I’d like to share with you about one consultant in particular that needs your support to succeed in her efforts to make a difference. 

 

Deb Naybor, from Alden, NY, is a finalist in the Stand on a Better World Award from Mannington Floors. She has qualified for this through her efforts to create self sustainable income for poor villages around the world. She has discovered a system of linking American communities to those most in need.  She has created microloans, built schools and a medical clinic, and donated thousands of pounds of clothing, fabric, medical and school supplies in eight countries and parts of the United States. Her passion is making a difference through economic empowerment. 

 

There are 10 finalists in the Global category and the winner will be based on the popular vote online.  Voting starts August 15th and goes only until Sept 7.  You can go to http:\\www.standonabetterworld.com\ to place your vote!

Susan G. Komen for the Cure:  We had a tremendous fundraising year on behalf of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.  Year to date, Tomboy Tools has donated $135,462 to help in the fight against breast cancer.  Due to this success and the difference we are making, we have decided to extend our fundraising efforts into 2008.   Tomboy Tools has agreed to donate a minimum of $100,000 during the period of September 1, 2007 through August 31, 2008.  We will be donating $3.00 from the sale of every Pink Hammer and $7.00 from the sale of every SGK Pink Traveler.  Together we can continue to make a difference.  You can purchase these products through our sales consultants or via our website at http://www.tomboytools.com/.

 

Tomboy Tools would like to welcome Becky Bechle to our Corporate Staff.   Becky is our Internal Operations Manager and brings 10 years of high level accounting experience to our team.  Please give Becky a warm welcome.
