Final Movie at Pinkerton Park Tonight
The Franklin City Parks has presented regular Summer Family Events, all
free to the public. Tonight from 8:00-10:00pm will be the final Movie
by Moonlight in Pinkerton Park. Movie titles are to be determined. For

Transportation From Monday
1. Reviewed alternatives for Long Lane/Old Peytonsville Road I-65
crossings, including seeing an underpass option for the first time.
2. Recommended professional services agreement for the design of Mack Hatcher Parkway Extension.
3. Received the Tier 2 Reports for Mack Hatcher Parkway, both for the
extension and for the expansion of the existing sections. These reports
confirm the need for these improvements.
4. Postponed the offer to purchase the city owned property on the North West Corner of Carothers Parkway and McEwen Drive.
5. Recommended the abandonment of the alley along the West Side of 301 Natchez Street.
6. Received the Road Impact Fee Draft and requested that a public
hearing be held on this draft at our next Transportation meeting.
7. Postponed proposal for the acquisition of the retention pond site on McEwen Drive.
8. Recommended speed limit reduction on Highway 96 East at the entrance to the Hurstbourne Development.
9. Recommended professional services agreement for Traffic Operations Center (TOC) phase 3.
10. Recommended traffic calming measures be installed on Ridgestone Drive in Forrest Crossing.

1. First reading of the new Zoning Ordinance.

Final reading on ordinance to create comprehensive regulations
requiring installation of all overhead facilities underground, to enact
a utility underground fee, and to create a right-of-way management
program for the City of Franklin.

administrative regulations, and impose civil penalties for violations
of such standards.
4. Consideration of placing a conservation easement on the Park at Harlinsdale
Farm.

Ordinance to rezone 161.81 acres from PR3.1 to PR2.21 and approve the
concept plan for Heritage Church of Christ and additional single family
homes located at Lewisburg Pike and Dallas Boulevard.

Ordinance to rezone 51.09 acres from General Office to Planned
Residential PR5.34 and approve the concept plan for Creekstone Commons
located at Creekstone Boulevard and South Royal Oaks Boulevard.
3.
Ordinance to rezone 48.90 acres from Light Industrial and General
Commercial to Planned Commercial PC4.0 and approve the concept plan for
Through the Green located on Columbia Avenue at Southeast Parkway.

Meet Local Candidates Tonight at Sperry's
The
Franklin Citizens for a Balanced Government would like to extend to you
an invitation to a "Meet the Candidates" event for those running for
alderman and mayor. The event is tonight from 5:00-6:30pm at Sperry's
in Cool Springs, located at 650 Frazier Drive. There will be no
speeches, questions, or debating. This is simply an opportunity for the
general public to meet those seeking the privilege of serving the city
of Franklin. All candidates having qualified to have their names on the
October ballot are being invited to attend. This event is open to the
public.
