Happy Anniversary Angela and Wayne!
Angela tells the story of her marriage in her own words...
The two shall become one. On September 1, 1973 at 6pm Wayne Robbins and I were united in marriage. We
had a large rainbow wedding with eight bridesmaids and eight best men. Over 300 guests witnessed this gala affair! As the oldest daughter of eleven
children, I was raised to believe that family is everything, so this was a beautiful day in my life.
Wayne and I were born in the same city -Saginaw, Michigan and at the same hospital -St. Mary’s. As
boys, our fathers attended the same school. It seems as though we were meant to meet!
We went to Mackinac Island for our honeymoon. For those of you who have not had the privilege of seeing this
beautiful island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I highly recommend it as a great place to celebrate special times. (Please note, this is the most
time I ever spent outdoors, I’m a city girl!)
From our blessed union came our son Wayne Aaron and our daughter Tiana. Our children are now grown and
gone. Aaron is now following the path of his father serving as a pastor in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife Rochelle. They have two gorgeous and
adorable children. Tiana is married to Lafonso and they have three gorgeous and adorable children. They live in Olympia, Washington. I
have been able to follow my life’s joy which is Christ first, and my family next. I am so blessed, to have a loving and
healthy family.
September 1st, Wayne and I will be married for 35 years. Wayne keeps me laughing. I often
tell him his humor has helped keep us together. Wayne and I grew up together and we always did things together. Even after the children came, we knew
it was important to spend time with one another. As we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary I can truly say I love Wayne. He is my
joy and I pray God’s continued blessing upon our marriage and our family. My prayer is that together we can be a blessings to others.
