REDROAD RECORDS ARTIST HEATHER POWERS
SIGNS DEAL WITH FRUITION ARTIST AGENCY
Powers Tours Nationwide With Speaking Ministry And New CD

(Nashville, Tenn.) October 1, 2007 -- Heather Powers has signed an artist booking representation deal with Fruition Artist Agency. Plans are under way for extended touring this winter and spring in support of Powers' debut solo album, UNDONE (Redroad Records). The song list includes a duet co-written and recorded by Powers and CCM Veteran, Bryan Duncan.

"I am personally very excited about signing Heather Powers to our agency," said Fruition Artist Agency President Carla Archuletta. "Heather has a proven ministry and is one of the most genuine, talented and multi-faceted Christian artists/speakers I've been privileged  to represent. I'm looking forward to sharing this journey with Heather and seeing what the Lord has in store for her as she continues to move forward in this new chapter of her life and ministry."

Authentic. This is the word that can best be used to describe Powers. She has a truly compelling and riveting life story of distress, abuse, addiction, brokenness and eventually redemption that only a true survivor can recount.

"This record chronicles my journey of dealing with the pain and hurt of those who violated me and the freedom found in letting the past go", Powers reveals. "I want it to be a blessing to people regardless of what they went through and for them to lay whatever they've been through or are currently going through at the foot of the cross".

An inspirational web is weaved throughout UNDONE with an organic/acoustic sound mixed with more fleshed out pop sensibilities and narrative songwriting. Powers cites influences like Amy Grant, Susan Ashton and Cindy Morgan on the Christian side, along with Shawn Colvin and Paula Cole as part of the secular scene. Yet its her seasoned session band, distinctive vocal charm and primary production by Patrick Tetreault (Five O'clock People) that made each song stand out with superiority.

"I want to take this batch of songs and lay open everything God has allowed me to walk through," shares Powers. "I''m eager to encourage people with the idea that there's nothing too big for them to have done where God couldn't rescue them. God is always in the business of reaching in and resurrecting new things and if he did it with me, he can do it with you, too".

In 2005 Powers had the opportunity to be part of the voiceover cast for the Warner Brothers movie version of RENT. She was directed by Tim Weil, the original Musical Director for the Broadway Show. Powers has toured and performed with many highly acclaimed artists such as Huey Lewis and The News, Bryan Duncan, Martha Munizzi, Kurt Carr, Roby Duke, Ricky B. Rogers, Geoff Moore, and Rachael Lampa among many others.
