Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all of us at Streamline Financial Services!

You Gotta Get Up!! I have a feeling these will be the first four words Murphy and I hear on December 25th. With Caedmon (5) and Barrett ("2 and a quarter" she'll tell you) eagerly anticipating what might have arrived the night before via chimney delivery, I doubt we'll be sleeping in.

For some of us, it's easy to remember when we were kids--the excitement, the "special-ness" of that day. I hope that this year you are brought back to that feeling--the feeling of "peace on earth" and "all is calm", and the anticipation of a child.

A Parting Thought for 2007

On a "Christmas lights" trolley ride, we stopped by this house of Clark Griswold proportions. This house was so decorated that everyone got out to get a closer look. I walked Barrett over to the Nativity scene of baby Jesus, Mary, and Joseph to point it out and give her a "pop quiz."

"Barrett, who are those people over there?" I asked. Hoping our training and education had started to take form in her 2-year-old mind, she responds,

"God...and Jesus...and a baby."

I started to correct her, and then stopped myself, realizing that she was more right that I was going to give her credit for.
