DNA Candidate Forum TONIGHT!
The Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) will host a candidate forum tonight beginning at 7:00pm in the boardroom at city hall. Candidates for mayor and alderman will be present to address issues of concern for the upcoming election. This forum is open to the public and everyone is welcome. I encourage you to attend.

 

Voter Registration Ends September 24
If you are not already a registered voter, or if you need to update your address, please contact the Election Registrar prior to September 24th. The Election Registrar's office is located at 1320 West Main Street in the Williamson County Administrative Complex. They can also be reached by calling 790-5711 or www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov.

BOMA Action from Tuesday
Old Business

1.    Postponed the public hearing to rezone 161.81 acres from PR 3.1 to PR 2.21 and approve the concept plan revision to Dallas Downs to allow additional single-family homes and the Heritage Church of Christ. The date to rehear this item will be set when the third ward alderman seat being vacated by Alderman Randolph is filled.
2.    Approved on final readings annexation and zoning for all sections of Monticello. These were made effective immediately to allow residents the opportunity to vote in the upcoming city election. If residents are registered voters in the county, they will be allowed to vote in the city election. If residents are not registered, they must do so before September 24.
3.    Approved on final reading annexation and rezoning for the North Echo Lane area.
4.    Approved rezoning of 51.09 acres from GO to PR 5.34 and the concept plan for Creekstone Commons.
5.    Approved rezoning of 48.90 acres from LI to PC 4.0 and the concept plan for Through the Green.
6.    Approved agreement with Brentwood to adjust the continuous boundary separating Brentwood and Franklin on Split Log Road.
7.    Approved adding a Historic Preservation Overlay to the McEwen-German House.
8.    Approved annexation and zoning of 7.16 acres on the south side of Clovercroft Road, south of Kirkwood Drive.
9.    Approve annexation and zoning of 22.29 acres on the north side of South Carothers Road, east of Falcon Creek Subdivision.
10.    Approved annexation and zoning of 11.49 acres located along Clovercroft Road.
11.    Approved on final reading a 4-way stop at the intersection of Church Street and Second Avenue South.
12.    Approved ordinance to reduce the speed limit on Liberty Pike in McKay's Mill from 40 to 35 MPH.
New Business
1.    Approved ordinance to rezone 7.13 acres from PC to PO and approve the concept plan for Carothers Professional Center, south of Liberty Pike between Curd Lane and Carothers Road.
2.    Approved ordinance to revise road impact fees.
3.    Approved funding of alterations to the roundabouts on Liberty Pike in McKay's Mill.
4.    Approved resolution for a PILOT program for Verizon Wireless Tennessee Corporate Office.
5.    Approved resolution for 60-day budget extension for the Franklin Transit Authority.
6.    Approved professional service agreement for preliminary design of McEwen Drive from Wilson Pike to the eastern city boundary.
Water/Wastewater
1.    Approved site plan for the city of Franklin Goose Creek water storage tank.
2.    Approved reimbursement agreement for the Watson Branch interceptor sewer extension.
