The Summer is here so Team Green invites you to swim at our 12th Birthday Party this Tuesday, July 29 at Westside Athletic Club's outdoor pool! We'll have so many giveaways (including a pair of tix to Lollapalooza!) that your swimsuit can't carry them all the lute; you can make your own 'Rita, enjoy Moe's luscious mexican fare, and dive for special gifts underwater!

RADNOR LAKE HIKE

Thursday, July 24

Join us for a lovely local evening hike at Radnor Lake every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month throughout the summer.  We'll hike approx 4.5 miles at a relaxed pace on the dirt trails (both Ganier and South Lake ridge trails). Bring water and snacks.

Friday, July 25th at 6pm
Enjoy a relaxing ride on the Cumberland River in the Blue Heron Cruise Boat out of Ashland City. We'll view the sunset, Blue Herons, other wildlife, and the lovely Cumberland. We'll dock around 8:45pm and stick around for some yummy catfish at Riverview Restaurant. This is a Member Only event. Not a member? Scuba Certification Class

Saturday July 26th and 27th

Neptune Dive and Ski is offering a special Scuba Certification Class for Team Greeners! The beginning scuba certification class prepares you for real-world diving situations and allows you to go on organized dive trips, rent gear and tanks, get air fills, etc. Classes are safe, fun and interactive and are always closely supervised by our seasoned instructors. TG SUMMER PICNIC

Sunday, July 27

Join us for our annual Summer Picnic at the Lake Woodhaven area at Montgomery Bell State Park on Sunday, July 27th from 12:00 until 4:00. We'llhave grilles, condiments, and plates, so bring something to grille and a side dish to share. Enjoy outdoor activities- Kids and Dogs on leash welcome. Free event and open to the public! 

 

VOLLEYBALL

Every Tuesday

Volleyball is CANCELED for Tuesday, July 29th, but don't worry. You can go to a Pool Party instead! Team Green is celebrating it's 12th Birthday with a Pool Party at Westside Athletic Club.

 


Team Green Birthday Party/ July Mixer

Tuesday, July 29th from 6-8pm

Celebrate Team Green's 12th Birthday! Enjoy July's monthly Adventure Mixer and mingle with all those going to the Yucatan on Team Green's Mexico trip in August!

 

Come out to Westside Athletic Club's outdoor pool for Mexican style food from Moe's Southwest Grille, libations, and festive atmosphere. We'll have a birthday cake, tons of gifts for you celebrating 12 years of outdoor treks, and DJ Lt. Dan from Lightning 100 will be on hand with some rockin' music. Plus we're giving away a pair of tickets to Lollapalooza August 1-3 in Chicago

RECYCLING WORKSHOP

August 14

The Recycling Leaders Class is a hands on opportunity to learn the basics of recycling in Nashville. Participants will leave the class with a plan to influence others through community outreach opportunities. The two and a half hour class will cover the topics: what and how to recycle, where to recycle, what happens to the recycled materials, and the reasons recycling is important to Nashville. 

 

INTRO TO SAILING

Sunday, August 24

Learn all about sailing on Nashville's Percy Priest Lake! Sailboats and instructors provided, plus lunch- and it's FREE to Team Green Members, sponsored by DDS Sailmakers. 

 

OCOEE WHITE WATER RAFTING

September 6-7

Come with us to the Ocoee River this Fall for a full weekend of rafting with the very experienced guides of Ocoee Adventure Center We will raft the upper and middle sections of the river on Saturday and spend the night at Frog campground. On Sunday, you can choose to raft or mountain bike. This is one of the most popular trips of the year, so don't miss out on America's Olympic River with Class III & IV rapids!
