Annual Luncheon Raises Record-Setting $320K

The Women’s Fund of Miami-Dade Annual Luncheon on Friday, April 18, 2008 was the largest ever: raising more than $320,000 and attracting 1,100 women. It was the most money raised and highest attendance in the event’s 12-year history. Philanthropists, non-profit professionals and business leaders gathered to celebrate the “Power of the Purse: Part II” to learn about recipients of Women’s Fund grants, bid on designer purses at the Power of the Purse Auction, and bid on Fair Trade items in the Women’s Fund Global Marketplace.
