Happy holidays everyone!  I hope that holiday shopping has not gotten the best of you.  While our family portrait month in October did not go over as well as we had hoped, our December portraits were a true blast.  I want to say thank you to all those who visited us this past month, some more than once!  

We would like to take this time to share the news that the studio has a new look planned for the new year.  No, the website is staying as our marketing team has done a great job on that.  But, as some of you know, we started our Art Life in the downtown art district of Peoria's Riverfront.  We have some really good friends down there who have presented an opportunity we could not pass up.  

 

Our new location will be in Waterfront Place at 311 Water St. -- literally next door to the area we started in a few years back.  Once all the details are finalized we will pass them along.  For now please know that our phone and e-mail contact information is the same. 

 

To close this section, I would also like to wish a very Happy Birthday to Frank Miller,  our Associate Photographer who is celebrating his birthday today!  Frank has not only been a great asset to the team he has become my best friend!

I know we said we would have a great article here every month but this month we thought we give you a challenge.  We want to see your best holiday pictures that reflect the theme "Believe."

 

Every year, hundreds go through the season worried about the perfect gift, who's coming over and when, and what the right thing is to prepare for the holiday meal.  This year we challenge you to remember that there are those who would love just one gift, those who would settle for scraps of food, and those who wish they had family to visit.  In your celebration look for those moments in your family that capture the true essence of the season.  If you are so inclined look for those moments outside your family.

As we close another year out here at the studio I would like to thank all of you who are part of the family here at Michael's Artistic Imagery.  This year has not been without it's share of growing pains and so many of you have been so supportive that I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.  

 

When you combine the studio building problems, personal family health issues, album company nightmares, frame shop mishaps, and my sometimes scatter-brained personality, it has been...well crazy.  Then in the middle of it all we re-branded and adopted the new name, logo, and tag line.

 

It was a dear friend who sent me an email a while back that said something like "Mike we are praying for your son, your dad, your wife, and your studio..."  I had to smile at that because some could look at it and say "man is this a mess"  Instead, in thanksgiving I found my best gift of the season, my wife, my kids, my friends, and those of you who through the craziness have welcomed the changes and the chaos with open arms.  It is clients like you who are the reason for our success.

 

The new year definitely brings a lot of excitement as we have partnered with a new album company, we have moved to a new a so much better hosting solution, and are moving to one of the best areas (a little prejudice here) in Peoria.  Our new hosting will now give us complete control over the order process from print to tracking.  In addition our new album company has one of the best lineups I have seen in some time.  Further adding to the excitement is our newest commercial clients who have utilized our services lately for their needs.  Clients like NE Finch, RLI, and Lakeview Museum, have given us some amazing opportunities.
