We encourage you to print an EcoAudit on projects printed on recycled papers, so we thought it would be fun to publish our own. We were astounded with the results.

Here's what we saved based on our 2006 consumption of paper containing at least 10% post-consumer recycled content (1,753 tons): 

• Saved 7,345 trees
• Reduced enough energy to power 56 homes for one year
• Eliminated greenhouse gases equivalent to 67 cars for one year
• Saved enough water to fill 4 Olympic-sized swimming pools
• Prevented 14 trucks of garbage from going into landfill

Selected by Hemlock's Sustainability Committee, the Forest Friendly Award winner receives a custom certificate and is recognized on the Hemlock website.

Most importantly, Hemlock will donate $1,000 to an environmental beneficiary of the winner's choice (selected from a list of pre-qualified organizations).
