Dear ,
I recently called a handyman I've hired in the past about a possible job. He gave me a price and we talked about possible dates but didn't make
any decisions. I haven't heard from him since.
It's unlikely I'll go out of my way to make it happen, but if he calls me, I'll definitely to go ahead with the project. All he has to do is
call. But he hasn't and a couple weeks have passed.
He may be assuming that I'm not interested -- that if I needed him, I would call. I am assuming he
doesn't want to do it, otherwise he would call.
So many of us get into this waiting game -- we wait for the prospect to turn him or herself into a client. We forget that's our job.
So here's today's tip: If you want the work, you must show your prospect how much you want it. Otherwise, they may assume you don't.
One simple way to get the ball rolling from this point in the process is to reiterate your interest in the project and propose a couple possible
times to get started.
There are tons more ideas on how to convert prospects into clients in the new program I wrote for
