For the sixth year in a row, the Iowa State Fair is expected to
break the one million mark in attendance. The unaudited attendance estimates indicate 1,003,210 Fairgoers enjoyed 11-days of Fair fun. Final
audited attendance figures will be released soon.
New attractions this year included the Paul R. Knapp Animal Learning
Center, Elwell Family Food Center, the newly renovated Ralph H. Deets Historical Museum and expanded Blue Ribbon Kids' Club
activities.
Information about the 2007 Fair will be available on the Fair's website through October 1.

for the 2008 Fair, which runs August 7-17 with the theme “U Gotta Love It”.

Fairgrounds 5K
Work off that last corndog while helping raise money for the Iowa State
Fairgrounds! The first Fairgrounds 5K Fun Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, November 3, at 10 a.m. on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Runners,
joggers and walkers alike will have the opportunity to experience the Iowa State Fairgrounds’ park-like setting without the hustle and bustle
of the Fair. The route will highlight the essentials, Grand Avenue, Rock Island and the Campgrounds, and take participants through a scenic
