house.

Acceptable Use Policy & Content Filtering
We have received many inquiries regarding a Fraternity or Sorority's
responsibility for providing Internet access to their occupants. If you do not have one already, we highly recommend that you have everyone in
the house sign what is called an Acceptable Use Policy, or AUP. This will protect your house from any legal issues that might arise from those
who abuse their Internet access. You will want to incorporate parts of the AUP that your Internet Provider uses. You can find sample AUPs from
the following URLs below:
Comcast
AT&T
Kiva Neworking or Cincinatti Bell
An additional option to consider to help protect your residents from various Internet threats is to install
a device that provides content filtering. With an active content filter on your internal network, you are able to block out not only possible
illegal activity, but also viruses, phishing websites, and more. Contact ProsLink if you would like more information on content filtering and about how you might benefit from such a
solution.

You can now get double the bandwidth for less than half the cost from Comcast.

Dual Modem Setup
Several houses have recently upgraded to a dual modem setup which requires a special
router configuration. With dual modems, you can double the capacity of your Internet access, increasing your bandwidth and improving the
end-user experience. Fast Internet is a requirement for today's student. If you are unsure whether your current hardware can handle two
modems or you have questions concerning your bandwidth capacity, contact ProsLink for a free evaluation.
