The Three Tomatoes’ Juice Monitor; Where the single
guys are; Workout Music, Classical Music and Operas for your iPod.
Did you know, according to a fun web site cleverly called
“Did You Know?” there are four types of marriages: monogamy,
polygyny (polygymy), polyandry, and group marriage. Monogamy is one wife, one husband. Polygyny is one husband,
several wives. Polyandry is one wife, several husbands. Group marriage is by far the rarest and has never been the prevailing form
of marriage in any known society. Well based on the results so far of The Three Tomatoes Juice Monitor, the married/single/relationship survey, it
seems one husband is more than enough, and in some cases one too many for some tomatoes. The survey is still open, so if you
haven’t taken it yet (it will take you less than five minutes) we hope you will. And we do encourage
guys to take the survey too because we’re finding some really interesting differences in our answers (surprise!). So if you
know some guys you think should take the survey (like husbands, co-workers, friends) send them this link:

The best places to meet single guys
Well, it’s not New York City according to Men’s Health Magazine’s 5th annual survey of best cities for women over 35 to meet
men. The #1 city is San Jose while New York City ranked #17. (We can hear some of you packing your suitcases
already.) And have you ever checked out the guys in the grocery store? (Yes, we’ll have three ripe
tomatoes and a hunky guy to go please.) Well apparently they’re checking out the females because in a
Men’s Health poll, 32.9% of them ranked the grocery store as the best place to meet women, while meeting women online ranked only
9.5%. Well when all the survey results are in from The Three Tomatoes Juice Monitor, we’ll tell you where single
tomatoes meet guys. Hint: it’s not over the organic produce.
Workout music
Well just in case those hunky guys are checking you out at the grocery store, (hey,
allow us our little delusions) here are a series of workout programs you can download to your iPod. Developed by "Marina", a recording
artist, musician, composer, instrumentalist, fitness developer, and mother of three, because she couldn’t find an exercise program that worked
for her. She began to work out to her own music, practiced portion control and watched her fat melt away-- 100
pounds of it. You’ll find a range of workouts for any kind of exercise programs. For example, the
Walking & Aerobic workouts range from 126 - 150 beats per minute and run between 10 and 15 minutes in length. They are perfect for
walking, aerobic dance, stepping, spinning or any other cardio activity you might choose. You can string them together,
depending on the length of your workout. The music will keep you moving and Marina will keep you motivated.
Downloads range from .99 cents to $1.49. Sample them at MarinaOnline.
Time to Chill Out
Second to a great martini, nothing else chills us out like listening to classical
music. If you love classical and/or opera too, you will be as excited as we were to discover two great web
sites where you can download podcasts to your computer and iPod (or other mp3 device.) As we write this, we are
listening to a podcast called “Springtime to Vivaldi and Bethovan" that is one in a series of full length free podcasts
from the chamber music series of
Boston’s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. It’s almost like being there.
And for opera lovers, here’s a web site we just happened upon, PremiereOpera with
amazing free podcast selections like the tenor Giuseppe Filianoti's heart rendering Lamento di Federico performed at the
Met this past February. Plus you’ll find great classics here too, like Jan Pierce’s Met debut in
1935.
So there you go. If you didn’t know
before, you know now.
‘til next week,
The Three Tomatoes
