Join us in Vietnam . . .

In October 2008, PATH will host the first PATH Journeys trip to Vietnam. This is a rare chance to explore areas few tourists ever see and talk one-on-one with the people touched by PATH’s work.

You’ll meet health workers who are learning how to confront Vietnam’s burgeoning HIV epidemic, visit a school where the students lead the charge for better immunization, and talk to families about life on the Mekong River. You’ll build an understanding of Vietnam’s history, challenges, and hopes through the culture of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city and travel the lush Mekong Delta to see how the country’s waterways have become its greatest gift and greatest threat.

PATH Journeys offers the chance to see the real hope that our work is bringing—with help from people like you. We hope you’ll travel with us.

View the full itinerary and price information or contact Aly Vander Stoep at avanderstoep@path.org for more information.

. . . or meet us on YouTube!

Over the past two years, we’ve sent our steadfast communications staff to the field, camera in hand, so that we could introduce you to the people your donations serve. We’ve assembled the first of these video clips on PATH's new YouTube channel. There, you’ll meet Nelson, a citizen leader for HIV prevention in Kenya, and the mothers and babies whose lives can be saved by the Uniject(TM) device, among many others.

Please help our community grow: Subscribe to "globalhealthcatalyst," to keep up with the latest posts; forward favorite videos to your friends. It only takes a few minutes at the keyboard to help us spread the word—and let the world know that equal health for all is not an impossible dream.

Champions at Breakfast

On May 20, more than 700 people traveled to India, from the comfort of a breakfast table in the transformed parking garage of PATH’s Seattle headquarters. They braved rain and highway traffic to hear about the uncertainty and fear faced by mothers in India’s slums—and PATH’s work to make sure mothers and babies stay healthy.

Our guests helped raise a stunning total of $890,000 for PATH’s Catalyst Fund. All who offered their time, hearts, and support became champions for global health that morning, and we are deeply grateful.

If you weren’t able to attend, please join us now for a virtual Breakfast with PATH, including photos from the event and stop-action video of the garage transformation. We hope you’ll be inspired by what you see and hear. And we invite you to Breakfast next year!
