Troops Thank Hendersonville Christian Academy
Remember our big Collection Drive for the Troops? Many of you generously participated with donations of snacks, clothing, and other “comforts of home” items which we sent to the troops in Iraq. Hendersonville Christian Academy was a HUGE help in this effort, collecting more than half of all the items we shipped out. Maj. Carroll paid the school a visit recently, giving them a thank you gift, and the local paper has a nice write up of the whole thing.
The Olympics Online
NBC is offering an unprecedented 2,200 hours of online Olympics coverage, and most of that content is available live (and, of course, on demand after it occurs). The site is free, and the video quality is surprisingly good. They even have a very cool “Quad-Screen” interface that allows you to view multiple live events at once. You can read more about it here, or see it in action for yourself here.
New Keynote Feature: Reader-Submitted Stories
Have you ever been reading our Keynote and thought to yourself, “You know, I found a story just the other day that would be perfect for this newsletter!”? Well, now you can share the web gems you’ve stumbled upon with the rest of the Keynote audience. Whenever you come across a newsworthy or humorous website or article—preferably related to technology in some small way—send it to us via email. Then, every two weeks when we compile the Keynote, we’ll take the very best of the submissions and add them to our roundup. We’ll even credit you! Our first winner is Mary Baker, of the Baker Company, who sent this great guide on finding all the Word 2003 buttons and functions you’re used to in the newer Word 2007. Thanks Mary! Send us your stories and yours could be featured in the next Keynote!
