Spring is here, and Nashville is in bloom! April has brought lovely weather to the Nashville region, and this is only one of many facets to celebrate about our amazing city! The
Nashville area is in bloom with hundreds of fun things to do and places to see as young professionals enjoy life in our region.
Nashville
Green Space -- Nashville contains more than 100 public parks and recreational areas, and two recreational lakes, Percy Priest Lake and Old Hickory
Lake. Visit www.nashville.gov/parks/ for information on hiking

Sage Award: Call for nominations
The
Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and the 20/20 Leadership Alliance have developed the Sage Award to honor one of Nashville's top leaders who has
made a significant impact on Nashville's YP demographic. Sage Award candidates are no longer among the YP demographic (40 years of age or older), but
are community leaders who show a great deal of respect to YPs and have had a significant impact on the professional development of Nashville's YPs and
YP organizations. Applications are due by Thursday, May 1. To download the application and learn more, please visit www.thenelas.com.
What's new in Nashville?
Kafe Krayp 160 Fourth Avenue N. This restaurant puts a Japanese twist on the French crepe-making
tradition. Krayp offers sweet gourmet desserts with signature homemade whipped "kream and kustard." They also offer a variety of specialty shakes,
teas, fruit drinks, and "kraypressos," as well as other light gourmet meals and savory crepes. Hours are Monday-Wednesday, 7 a.m.-2 p.m., and
Thursday-Friday, 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
The Big Chill Deli 112 Second Avenue N., 712-6163. This deli serves up gourmet soups in
bread bowls, pizza bagels, sandwiches, milkshakes, floats, ice cream and more. Hours are Monday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-midnight.
Xcessive
Records 174 Second Avenue N., 730-6009. This new record shop sells books, posters and CDs. Hours are Monday-Thursday, noon-8 p.m.;
Friday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-6 p.m.
